This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) governs the manner in which Tech Recycle™ (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information collected from users (“you,” “your,” or “Customer”) of our website, services, and associated platforms. This Policy is intended to comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, including but not limited to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the Michigan Identity Theft Protection Act, and relevant provisions of the Federal Trade Commission Act.

Dispute Resolution – Michigan Small Claims Jurisdiction

In the event of any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to services provided by Tech Recycle™, both parties agree to resolve the matter in good faith. If resolution cannot be achieved informally, the parties agree that:

  • Jurisdiction and Venue: Any legal action shall be brought exclusively in the Small Claims Division of the 74th District Court, located in Bay County, Michigan, or another Michigan district court with proper jurisdiction based on the location of the transaction or parties.
  • Monetary Limits: Claims shall be limited to the maximum allowable under Michigan Small Claims Court rules (currently $6,500 for individuals and sole proprietors, subject to change by statute).
  • Waiver of Formal Service: Both parties agree to accept service of process via certified mail or personal delivery, and waive formal service requirements to expedite proceedings.
  • No Attorney Representation Required: Each party may represent themselves without legal counsel, as permitted under Michigan Small Claims procedures.
  • Good Faith Resolution: Prior to filing, both parties agree to attempt resolution via written communication, allowing up to 15 business days for response.
